Skills/Experience cheat does not work

Hi, the cheat: Skills/Experience part of the trainer does not work. I follow the instruction but still does not work. The other part of the trainer works fine. I do as im supposed to do to get the Skill/experience to work, mainly push I to get the pause menu, and then go out again. But nothing works.

Are you playing via steam, gog or msstore?
Which cheat were you trying to use? All of them in the skills/experience category?
Are you using mods?
